With over 150,000 residents, Peoria Arizona is a major suburb for the city of Phoenix. It is the state’s 9th largest city and is where the San Diego Padres hold spring training as to the Seattle Mariners. Peoria has a history rich in sports, beginning in 1897 when the city was founded. Money Magazine named the city as one of the Top 100 Places to Live.
There is more to Peoria than sports though. Art and culture are found with the Arizona Broadway Theater as well as the Musical Instrument Museum. And if your family is the outdoor type, there are plenty of places to hike and walk, like the 10,000 plus acres of Lake Pleasant Regional Park.
