Lost Our Home Pet Foundation

During my Phoenix Association of Realtors (PAR) President-elect term in 2012, the CEO of PAR, Diane Scherer introduced me to Lost Our Home Pet Foundation. She introduced me by sending me a picture of a rescue Maltese/Bichon Frise mixed one year old female dog whose name is Monki. The moment I saw Monki, I was in love – hook, line & sinker. For the following year as president of PAR, I used Lost Our Home Foundation as my charity. So, at my installation ceremony, Monki came too! We asked everyone to bring a donation of dog food to the event. Afterwards, we had such great success that the dog food filled the back of my Chevy Tahoe from floor to ceiling! We were able to feed dogs for months. I have continued to be a big advocate and supporter of Lost Our Home Pet Foundation, now renamed Lost Our Home Pet Rescue. In the future, in my opinion, RESCUE would be the ONLY WAY to GO!!

Boulder Creek Elementary

In 1996 when Boulder Creek elementary school opened its doors, the Principal at that time, Karen Gaskey, reached out to me and asked if I’d like to be a business partner with her at the new elementary school she was opening. From that point in time, I’ve done many extrinsic offerings to these schools – giving EVERY YEAR in one way or another. Together, with my fully licensed TEAM of two women, we donate and provide for a “Snowflake Family” in need from Boulder Creek elementary school during the holidays. Three years ago, we partnered with our preferred mortgage lender Melissa Diamond from Suburban Mortgage and Fidelity National Title Company to host an exclusive movie event each Spring & Fall for the highest class participation in the food and hygiene drives supporting the Paradise Valley Food Bank. It has been my pleasure to serve on the school’s Site Base Council since 1996. I adopted a 3-year-old daughter in 1996, who went to both of these wonderful schools.

Phoenix Association of Realtors (PAR)

Early in my real estate career, I knew it was important to volunteer with the association. During the 1990’s I served 2 different terms on the Board. One term is a 2-year period of time. Then in 2005, I ran for the board position again and have been President 2 times since, both in 2013 and in 2017. I have always felt it is very important to give back to the industry. You think you know the “ins & outs” of the industry, until you have served on its Board. EVERYRHING that happens in real estate, starts with its local Realtor association right up to the TOP in Washington DC.
